The Good Life

We don't have a working camera, but Nana does.  Thank you for inviting us to the amazing Montage hotel in Laguna Beach for some quality pool time, and also documenting the wonderful day.  Oh, how we want to go back..... :)

Routines

Our camera battery charger is lost, but a new one is on the way. In lieu of photos, I'd like to share what I've learned about Olivia lately.  ROUTINE.  It's in every book, but I just recently appreciated the value of the word when observing Olivia at bed time.  To go to bed without WW4 happening we need the following:
1 sippy cup with two ice cubes, water and splash of juice  (her words exactly/removed once she's asleep)
Mickey Mouse
Minnie Mouse
Little Mickey
Sunshine the pillow
Little crib book (used as a base  to place the sippy cup on)
Two blankets: green animal one, and mommy's baby blanket
If ANY of these things aren't present, sleep is not happening.  Providing structure for Livy has been such a blessing, and I can't wait to see what other habits come about as shortly, she will be turning two.  Please don't be terrible, please don't be terrible....

Fun Fun Fun

We finally got our Xmas gifts - bikes for the family!  Seal Beach is made for cycling, with easy rolling hills, main street, beach runs and lots of place to cruise by the coast.  Sunday we suited up and headed to the beach to feed birds, then the Farmers Market, where we picked up a 3 pound bag of tangerines (note to self: get bike basket).  It was a great family morning.  The next day, Olivia and I met Nana in Crystal Cove at the tidepools - what a gorgeous day.  Good stuff.
